MAYHEM Confirmed For Spain's ATARFE VEGA ROCK Festival

Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM have been confirmed for Atarfe Vega Rock festival, set to take place December 1 at Coliseo Ciudad Atarfe in Atarfe, Granada, Spain. Also scheduled to appear are LIZZY BORDEN, JOEY BELLADONNA (ex-ANTHRAX),EXCITER, GRAVE DIGGER and KATATONIA.

Back In June, MAYHEM cancelled its "Deconsecrate the States" 2007 U.S. tour as a result of a serious injury suffered by drummer Hellhammer. "The power of MAYHEM must come at full force and without Hellhammer, it is impossible for us to accomplish this feat," the band said in a statement. "We deeply regret having to cancel the tour but we feel that there truly was no other option. We shall however return stronger than ever to deconsecrate your shores as soon as humanly possible!"

MAYHEM's latest CD, "Ordo Ad Chao", entered the Norwegian album chart at position No. 12, the band's highest position ever.

MAYHEM had only once before been on the Norwegian charts, when the band's last album, "Chimaira", reached No. 28 in 2004.
